Our goal is to help simplify the therapy process and make it as accessible and comfortable as possible. On this page, you will find an overview of our therapy and counselling services. Brianna also offers free consultations to help answer any questions you might have and help you find the right fit.

Psychotherapy & Counselling

Our online therapy services are not the same as some of the recent services you might’ve seen online or experienced through funded calls. All online therapy appointments are 50-minutes, secure and confidential, and use methods backed by research. Resources (handouts, reading materials, etc) may be incorporated, but they are provided as additional support and do not replace direct session time with your therapist. We use a secure online telehealth platform called Jane that meets legislation requirements to protect your privacy.

Neurodiversity

There are a lot of unhelpful messages about why and how we “should” be doing things that just don’t apply to everyone. This can often lead to anxiety, depression, burnout, masking, and difficulties in our work and relationships. But these neurotypical ideals are not the only way to live a rich, fulfilling life in which you thrive.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy can be a great place to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and shed ableist, normative messages that might be keeping you stuck. As a neurodivergent practitioner, Brianna recognizes that all neurodiversity is not the same, and therefore combines different methodologies and approaches based on your specific needs and goals. She takes a strengths-building, empowering approach to find strategies that work for your unique needs, without trying to force you to do things in ways that don’t work for you. This is a space for anyone on their journey, be it formal diagnosis (new or old), self-diagnosis, or something you’re just starting to be curious about!

Chronic Illness & Disability

Therapy can be a space to help you cope with a variety of challenges associated with chronic illness and disability, including chronic pain, fatigue, life transitions, medical phobias, interpersonal difficulties, and medical trauma. This is a chance to understand your overall wellness and the impact of your condition on your mental health and relationships. Together, we'll identify goals to help you grieve, process, understand, and grow.

Caregiver Counselling

Are you providing care to a loved one and starting to notice you’re feeling more tired, irritable, anxious, isolated, overwhelmed, or hopeless? These are all signs that you may be starting to experience caregiver burnout. In caregiver counselling, we work together towards understanding this role, celebrating the wins, healing the hurts, and developing healthy coping strategies. Caregiver counselling is a space dedicated to you to support you as you dedicate so much to others.

Sex Therapy

Are you satisfied with your sex life? Do you struggle with intimacy or discomfort during sex? Does sex feel like something you have lost control with?

Sex therapy is a space for all of these concerns and more. The goal of sex therapy is to gain a better understanding of sex, work through potential challenges or barriers, and re-connect with this important part of yourself in order to have a satisfying, enjoyable sex life. You don’t need to currently be in a relationship to benefit!

Brianna provides a sex-positive, kink-positive, and affirming space for individuals, relationships of all types, 2SLGBTTIQQA+, and people with disabilities to improve sexual health and strengthen intimacy.

Grief Counselling

There is no “getting over” the loss of someone or something that you care about, whether it be a person, pet, job, or place. Grief is not a linear twelve-step process, where you feel each “stage” (anger, sadness, bargaining, etc.) and then “move on.” However, grief is something you CAN get through. Grief counselling is an opportunity to share your story of grief and loss, develop healthy coping strategies, and work towards healing.
