Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Simply Social Work! I’m so excited to finally be launching not just this website, but this blog as well.

A Little About Me

My name is Brianna and I’m a registered social worker (RSW). Being registered here in Ontario means I’m licensed to practice social work through the regulatory body called the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (usually just referred to as the OCSWSSW). I’m currently working with a multidisciplinary private practice in Hamilton, Ontario — but thanks to the pandemic, I’m actually able to work with clients all across the province through virtual appointments.

But you can read all of that in my bio. What you may not know about me is that I am an animal lover with a beagle and a tabby cat, avid bookworm, and enthusiast of video games and all things sci-fi. My favourite season is fall, although my favourite place to be is out on the water. I have an upcoming video and blog post all about why I became a social worker, but the short version is that I was (and continue to be) motivated by my Dad’s battle with MS.

What You Can Find

  1. Website

This is where you can learn more about me, my services, and book sessions online. I’m constantly creating new programs and workshops, so check back here regularly!

  2. Blog

  3. Social Media

You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Please note that my posts there are for educational, awareness, and entertainment purposes only! It’s not meant to be medical advice, nor am I able to engage in any relationships with clients (past/present) through those platforms.

  4. YouTube Channel

This blog and my YouTube channel is where you can find all things related to mental health, therapy, and social work. My goal is to spread awareness on mental health and social justice, through sharing tips and strategies, reviews, and other educational pieces. I’m going to be uploading new blog posts at least twice per month, and I upload new videos on YouTube every single week.

I’m so excited to be creating this platform and do my part to create a positive corner of the internet that’s all about healing and growth. If there is something you’d like me to discuss, either on YouTube or in a blog post, please reach out and let me know!
